Jamaica Environment Trust (JET)

In 2008, the Jamaica Environment Trust (JET) became national coordinators of International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) activities in Jamaica.  The ICC Day takes place on the third Saturday in September every year, and is the largest one-day volunteer event in the world.
JNGI has been sponsoring this event from about 2005, with the main objective of building environmental awareness and assisting in improving waste management practices thereby reducing the impacts of debris on coastal ecosystems.
