JNGI Shorty Insurance

General Information

JNGI Shorty insurance allows you to buy a short-term policy. It is currently available for 30, 60 or 90 day terms.

JNGI Shorty is available for motor insurance only at this time.

Currently JNGI Shorty is only available for third party private and private commercial motor insurance at this time. That is ValueShield, ValueShield+ and ValueShield+ Commercial.

Anyone between the ages of 21 and 80 years old can purchase JNGI Shorty policies except ValueShield. You must have a valid Driver’s Licence and meet all the other requirements for third party motor insurance. Persons under 21 years old, however require special approval from JNGI.

For the ValueShield policy, only persons of the age range 25 to 75 years are eligible. All the other terms and conditions of the policy are applicable including that of restricted driving.

The annual premium for the policy is pro-rated to the length of time selected by the customer. A premium loading of 15% is added to this amount.

The third party liability limits are the same as they would be for an annual policy:

ValueShield+ Commercial

Bodily Injury Any One Person

Bodily Injury Any One Accident

Third Party Property Damage

The benefits depend on the policy that is purchased and are listed below:

  • Windscreen Damage - Limit of $12,000 any incident
  • Personal Accident - Limit of $25,000

No Claim Bonus is not applicable on the Shorty policy unless you have taken out a Shorty policy for 12 consecutive months.

Currently JNGI Shorty is available for 30, 60 or 90 days.  You therefore have the option of consecutively purchasing a combination of any of these to give you six months coverage. For example, you renew a 30 day policy six times, a 60 day policy three times, and a  90 day policy twice or any other combination that suits your needs.
